The purpose of this website is to raise awareness of what has been the most neglected and perhaps most misunderstood aspect of surfing, the surfboard fin. Many surfers choose a new board based on plan shape and appearance and never give much thought to the fins. They ride the board with the fins it came with and never change anything. When they become disenchanted with the boards performance they buy a new board when changing the fins could add new life and performance at a fraction of the cost.

The FinBox hopes to Educate:

We learn from the past. You can’t get to where you want to go without an understanding of where you came from.

To Explore the possibilities:

The first surfboard fin was developed in order to take the rider to places on the wave where he had never been before but only dreamed of.

To Create and Experiment:

To control and change the surfing experience and to progress. The Bible says that God created man in his own image. Who is God? What is his image and what does He do? God is the Creator of all things including man therefore we should be creators also. So grab some fins or a file and some sandpaper and modify, experiment and create.
